The Amaze Yourself Project is a short (6 days over 2 weeks) course aimed at helping unemployed people with a health condition or disability to learn about business start-up. The course covers skill self-analysis, communication and presentation skills and business skills including research, networking, marketing and business planning. Post-course, students are encouraged to make use of a mentoring programme and continued support whilst they take the first steps with their new business. The project is funded through Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber's European Social Fund strand and takes place at the University of Leeds. All students travel and subsistence costs are met for the duration of the programme.
